WHO WE ARE
The London HIV Prevention Programme (LHPP) is London’s citywide programme, dedicated to ending new HIV infections. At the heart of this work is our bold, public-facing campaign: Do It London.

Do It London
We speak directly to Londoners—on their phones, in their feeds, and in their neighbourhoods—about the four proven ways to prevent HIV:
• Test regularly
• Use condoms
• Take PrEP
• Know that Undetectable = Untransmittable
We’re not here to shame or scare. We’re here to empower. Our work is rooted in the reality of how people live, date, and connect in London today. Our aim is to normalise HIV prevention, signpost people to free tools and testing, and encourage everyone to take ownership of the health of our London community.
Together, we can make HIV prevention part of everyday life—and help London end new infections by 2030.
What else does the LHPP do?
The London HIV Prevention Programme is a pan-London programme, proudly funded and supported by all London local authorities. We’ve been supporting providing a city-wide approach to London’s efforts to reduce HIV infections since 2014.
In addition to the Do It London campaign, we commission outreach organisations to work directly with communities most affected by HIV to provide HIV and sexual health testing, free condoms and lube, and other prevention services.

Our Outreach Work
This outreach work serves gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men in London, provided by the GMI Partnership – made up of METRO Charity, Positive East and Spectra. Their teams can be found in bars, clubs, saunas and some community events across London. Check out their calendar and pop down to chat to them.

We are also in the process of organising to provide similar community-based testing for Londoners with Black Heritage, to provide testing and conversations in relevant, friendly and culturally appropriate spaces. Watch this space – we aim to have this service up and running by late 2025.

Our Campaigns & Partners
Do It London is an award-winning (blush) HIV prevention awareness campaign, and we’re proud to have been one of the first campaigns in the UK to promote “combination prevention”, including PrEP and Undetectable (U=U) from 2017. We are proud to work in partnership with many organisations to deliver HIV prevention to London. Check out some of the brilliant work undertaken by London Association of Directors of Public Health, London Councils, Fast Track Cities, National AIDS Trust and Terrance Higgins Trust.
