All Londoners

HIV can affect any of us, so it’s important that we all take steps to test, protect and prevent against HIV. Whilst you may know that gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men are considered at a higher risk of acquiring HIV, in 2023, over half of all people receiving HIV care in the UK acquired the virus through heterosexual sex. It’s time for everyone to talk openly, test regularly, and take control of our health.

Celebrate your choices. Protect your health.

There’s no one way to have sex—and that’s something to celebrate. Whether you’re exploring new experiences, enjoying casual encounters, or in a long-term relationship, your choices are valid. What matters is feeling good, feeling safe, and staying informed.

HIV doesn’t care about labels or lifestyles. It affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. So whether you’re in your 20s or your 60s, in a long-term relationship or dating, it’s important to know your status and understand your options.

That’s why regular testing, using protection, and knowing about prevention tools like PrEP and PEP are key—whatever your preferences. You deserve to enjoy your sex life without shame or fear. So be proud of your choices, and make them with your health in mind.

How often should I test?

Testing is generally recommended at least once a year and after any unprotected sex with a new partner. Regular testing is a key part of staying healthy and preventing transmissions, so consider testing today.

Is PrEP right for you?

One pill a day to protect you from HIV, PrEP is a popular choice for many. Whether you want to take it every day or before and after sex, find out if PrEP is right for you.

Act fast to prevent HIV

Think you’ve been exposed to HIV? Get PEP – fast. Post-Exposure Prophylaxis is emergency medication that can stop HIV after it’s entered your body.
